ISRA Members at ISPO MUNICH!

We are very pleased to have five of our Members attend this leading international sports business trade show.
At ISPO MUNICH over 2,000 international exhibitors presented the complete selection of sporting goods, athletic footwear and fashions from the Outdoor, Ski, Action und Performance Sports.
ISRA Members joined more than 80,000 visitors from over 100 countries.

ISRA Members and Suppliers joined forces at our Winter Show in The Heritage Golf & Spa Resort.
Two days of strong buying activity, with a great night out on Monday, encapsulated the importance of what continues to be Irelands Best Sports Specific Buying Show.
We extend our congratulations to Jason Farrell, JF Sports Carlow, who was voted ISRA Retailer Of The Year, and also to Daricia Ltd who won the accolade for ISRA Supplier Of The Year.

Our two day show follows on from the very successful AW12 Q3 ISRA Nike and Adidas Shows held in the UK last week.
This provides an opportunity for ISRA Members to catch up with their Irish and UK based Suppliers in the first class environment of The Heritage Resort in Killenard, Co Laois.
We look forward to it being a full and busy Show

Once again ISRA Members enjoyed the fantastic backdrop of Twickenham Rugby Stadium, when attending Nike's AW12 Launch on January 6th.
A very impressive turnout of two thirds of all ISRA Members, made their way to the Show, where Liz Cox and her experienced Team, made a series of excellent presentations in what is a first class working environment.This Show continues to be a great success for ISRA and Nike, and sets the standard for what can be achieved.We look forward to the next Show.

ISRA Members made their regular visit to Adidas HQ in Acton to view their impressive AW12 Ranges.
Once again the show was very well attended, and Members enjoyed the hospitality extended.

ISRA and ASICS have commenced a series of Retail
Specific - Training Programmes.
The focus is on supporting Independent General
Sports Specialists,and is exclusively for ISRA
Members.
The programme concentrates on technical product
knowledge,bio- mechanics,and injury prevention.

A new year - and a new chapter in ISRA’s success story.

2010 was one of the most challenging periods in Irish sports retailing but ISRA continued to successfully unite and support retailers in meeting their business ambitions, through a range of expanding services.

ISRA Co-Ordinator,Tom Foley, is leaving ISRA in the New Year to take up the position of General Manager at Intersport Uk.His successor is expected to be announced as early as next week.

ISRA Shoe has announced The Radisson Blu Hotel in Athlone as the venue for their second show.
The show takes place on February 13th and 14th and follows on from the successful Kids shoe show held during September.

The following is the collective pre Budget submission to the Minister for Finance highlighting the real and current concerns of retailers from all sectors.

ISRA Shoe, the new buying group for Independent Shoe retailers in Ireland and part of the ISRA Group has today launched its own website.

ISRA has appointed Irish based company Visual Sense as VM consultants to group members.
Participating members will get a store make over and will receive on going advice to help improve the effectiveness of their shop space and create a better shopping experience for their customers.

Visual Sense will work hand in hand with ISRA suppliers to help implement and support brand stories in store.

ISRA was represented at the first meeting of Irish Retailer Associations from various trade sectors held at the Crowne Plaza,Blanchardstown Dublin.

A new product selection team has now been set up within the group.
The group made up of retail members will compliment the success to date of retailer involvement when working with brands.

ISRA held one of its "mid term" meetings at The Heritage today.
The importance of such meetings to members was evident by the large turnout and participation of members.
The day gave members the opportunity to share ideas and discuuss the many supplier proposals currently on offer.

ISRA members were at the Twickenham Rugby grounds for the Nike Q4 Show.

ISRA members were again the guests of ISPO at their Winter Show held in Munich this week.

ISRA Own label products under the "Core" Brand are reported to be performing well in member stores throughout the country.
